2 Feb 2016 by City of Armagh Rugby Club

The Palace Grounds played host to a special occasion on Saturday past, celebrating the efforts of the Armagh Rugby Ladies.

Saturday 30th January wasn’t your ordinary pre-match function at City of Armagh RFC against Barnhall RFC. The Armagh Rugby Ladies took centre stage when their efforts throughout the season were celebrated and recognised by the officials and dignitaries from Armagh RFC, Ulster Rugby and the IRFU. Adrian Logan was Master of Ceremonies at the event which included IRFU President, Martin O’Sullivan, and Ulster player Dan Tuohy as guest of honour. Commenting on the event, Ulster Rugby Domestic Rugby Manager, Chris Webster, said: “My applause must go to City of Armagh RFC for organising this pre-match function. The time, effort and commitment provided by all volunteers throughout rugby in Ulster is praiseworthy. Armagh RFC did a great job in recognising these efforts and celebrating the valuable contribution of the Armagh Rugby Ladies. A great event enjoyed by all in attendance.”
