ArmaghU16 v Ballynahinch Match Report 14-10-2017

Coming on the back of a strong display away to Banbridge the Armagh U16 squad hosted Ballynahinch at the Palace Grounds.
Ballynahinch kicked off the first half gathering the ball , Armagh exerted early pressure and camped in the Ballynahinch half meeting stiff resistance.
After a considerable period of pressure William Coleman went over in left corner for the first try which was unconverted.
From the kick off Armagh took ball through the forwards up to the 22 line and then spread the ball wide to the right wing where Peter McGrane beat five players to score in the corner. DIllon Fox added the extra 2 points.
The Armagh forwards took clean ball from the kick off and from broken play Dillon Fox kicked through turning the Ballnahinch full back. The Armagh chase led by Sean Hannaway pressured the full back forcing a penalty for holding on. Armagh took a quick tap and the ball went wide and was run in, in the left corner by Adam Wilson for a try. With the conversion from Dillon Fox score the was 19-0 to Armagh.
The first half ended with
Armagh in attack, Ballnahinch happy to clear to touch in their own 5 metre area.
Armagh kicked off the second half and again
camped in the hinch half.
After forays back and forth a lineout in the hinch 10 metre line resulted in Armagh passing the ball through the backs with Ben Fitzpatrick beating three to score in the left corner making it 24-0 to Armagh.
Armagh took a clean catch from the Ballynahinch kick off and James Agnew ran the length of the field to score under the posts. Dillon Fox converted to make the score 31-0.
With Armagh having cleared the bench the scoring continued with Dillon fox scoring on theright wing, 36-0
By now Armagh were spreading the ball left and right across the field and Sean Hannaway went over in the left corner to make the score 41-0 to Armagh.
Armagh were deserved winners and this was another good display from a developing Armagh squad.
